Tell us about yourself.
I graduated from the University of Akron in December of 2018 with a marketing major and pre-med minor. Throughout my undergrad at the university I interned with the University of Akron Research Foundation (UARF), the Northeast Ohio Student Venture Fund (NEOSVF), and New Territory. While interning for UARF and NEOSVF I learned just how vast the entrepreneurial network was in NEO and I was able to interact with several startups in the area. This began my interest in the startup world and inclined me to apply to New Territory.

What advice do you have for students interested in entrepreneurial pursuits?
There’s no harm in trying.

How did NEOSVF prepare you for an entrepreneurial lifestyle?
NEOSVF was valuable for me because I was given the opportunity to work with local startups and learn some behind the scenes of an entrepreneurial lifestyle.

New Territory is a software company that helps businesses create custom marketing solutions through augmented reality. The company also has an esports division, New Territory Gaming, that facilitates tournaments and esports leagues to promote healthy relationships with gaming.

What's next?
Taking New Territory Gaming to the next level. We see the demand for esports in Akron and we have the team and the facility to implement valuable programs for the players. ​
