Investment Goal

Great products, services, and teams that can produce successful businesses that can impact economic development in Northeast Ohio. We hope that our investment capital provides enough money to further develop products and businesses, secure additional funding, and ultimately help companies survive the "valley of death." 

Investment Amount

• Up to $10,000 as a convertible note 
  
  ​By convertible note, we mean that upon maturity of the note or upon raising a significant amount of funds, NEOSVF may decide whether to take back the note or to convert the value of the note into equity.

Eligible Applicants

• High growth, potential startup companies in the greater Northeast Ohio region 

• These high risk, high reward companies are especially vulnerable during their pre-revenue stages

• We focus on companies that are imagining, incubating, demonstrating, and starting to enter the market.​

Application/Program Process

• Submit an executive summary and a pitch deck through our application portal (located at top & bottom of page)
• Six companies per semester are selected for in-person investment presentations
• Due Diligence is performed on selected companies
  ​(Our students have signed non-disclosure agreements which covers any and all companies applying to the Fund)
• End of semester, investment recommendations are given to the board
• Based on student recommendation, investments are offered on up to two companies​
